Chinese New Year + Valentine's Day

Chinese New Year =)

This 2011 Chinese new year isn't that fun compared to 8-10 years before. Last time when I'm still in primary school, every Chinese new year full with festive feeling. Maybe time has changed. Now technology is getting better and everyone is slowly forgetting about traditional ways of celebrating. Chinese new year traditional cards replaced with sms, email or facebook.
I missed my old time sooo much ='(

This year, I can only have 3 and a half day to celebrate Chinese new year. Actually public holidays only from Thursday till Friday, and I need to get back from my hometown to my house at PetalingJaya because Monday I have class. Everything is so rush, and I hate it =(

One of the CNY holiday, I heard many people were playing with eggs. It's called 立春 in chinese, which means standing eggs (I think so = =). On that particular day, all eggs will stand and won't fall.
It's seems fun and I try it on my own.
I tried, and tried, and tried.....

At last for I don't know how many minutes (I think 15minutes), my eggs STANDS! It won't fall until I poked it. Well for my siblings and cousins, they tried for not even 5 minutes and they gave up. HAHA...I'm the LAST MAN STANDING xD

My standing egg!!! x)

During Chinese new year, I went only 2 of my classmate houses, pity me =(
Can't enjoy well this holiday ...

 Valentine's Day

For those single-rians like me, 14th of February 2011 it's just like another normal Monday.
I saw many of my unimates hugging big box of presents, flower and etc...
Although sometimes will envy of them, but I told myself, staying single is better, doesn't have to carry the responsible of being a girlfriend. And I'll have plenty of time to do my own thingy.

But then, I received a rose... not to mention who is him, but then I'll appreciate it =)

Didn't take photos for quite a period, just a few photos for now...

Ahhh...I'm BACK!

WOOTZ! Expecting something I never expect!

Well, on 11th of February 2011, I participated my University's UStar Singing Competition. I went for the audition. I registered on the spot around 12.30pm, and when it's my turn, it's already 3.20pm. (I have class from 2 - 3) so they skipped me first.

That was my first 1 to 3 audition in my life. I mean, 1 contestant with 3 judges in a room. Before that, competitions that I had participated isn't like that. There will be all contestants in a same room and 1 by 1 will get on the stage and sing. This time, no stage...LOL. So I was damn nervous and inside my uni was like snowing. It froze me out and my voice's like shaking.

I have to prepare 2 songs, 1 song choice of mine, and another 1 I have to choose from the selected song list.
I'd choosen 'I don't want to miss a thing-Aerosmith' as my 1st choice, and 'Reflection-Christina Aguilera' from the song list.

Surprised, after I sang 1st song (I don't want to miss a thing), judges didn't ask me to sing 2nd song. In fact, they asked me to sing other languages song ON THE SPOT. Well, I'm not good in memorizing lyrics and now in my mind I was like " Oh..dead..". Surprisingly, the judges told me not to worry about lyrics and they just want to listen more about my voice. And I was like " okay, just few sentences will do then". I sang  “劲歌金曲-古巨基” and 天空-蔡依林. They asked few questions about me and then I walked out from the room.

I never expect that I will enter the Top 24 semi-final out of 3 UTAR campuses, until the UStar committee informed me on Thursday 17th of February.

I was like flying in the sky but then something SMASHED my MOOD!
MY STUDENT ID CARD DROPPED INTO THE TOILET HOLE AND IT COST ME RM25 TO REPLACE A NEW ONE!!!!
Arghh!!!! wasted my money just because of the stupid toilet hole!! I have no idea how the card drop in. T_T

I don't know whether I need to be happy or sad on that day...Aiks..

They are going to choose 8 top finalist out of 24. I decided to sing “怎样-戴佩妮” on semi-final. Wish me good luck >____<
